Following recent off-site coatings project successes and the requirement for further expansion of the company’s involvement in this area of the industry, R. Lewis have acquired a local warehouse facility. The new site has the capacity to put through 2000 m2 of structural steelwork each week, which will help us keep up with our customers’ demand.
This newly refurbished facility can accommodate a selection of construction materials and coating specifications sufficient to satisfy both individual architectural pieces, large-scale steel fabrications and fabrics.
Recent works have included the preparation and spray coating application of decorative coatings to several hundred fire doors, the application of flame-retardant coatings to fabrics along with other potentially combustible interior linings. We have also treated multiple structural steel sections with intumescent coatings for high performance fire protection.
The new site is conveniently located in close proximity to Cardiff and its motorway network and includes secure parking for 3 flatbed lorries.
We are excited with the opening of this new facility as it allows us to expand and provide a more comprehensive range of quality fireproof coating solutions for our customers.
