At R. Lewis & Co (UK) Ltd. we employ an external Health & Safety Consultant named Key Safety Solutions, who help to ensure that we are working to safe working practices. The management of Health & Safety is an integral part of any successful business; we have to ensure we are compliant with all current legislation. We have a directly employed Health & Safety representative who regularly visits our sites and ensures continued compliance.
Prior to commencing any contract we hold a toolbox talk with our operatives and review the Method Statement, Risk Assessment & COSHH Assessment for the project as well as reviewing manual handling & working at height procedures. As work progresses to site we ensure all operatives have the correct certification for access and full PPE. Our operatives are then subjected to random site audits to check our safety rules are being adhered to. All our operatives have attained external Emergency First Aid at Work and Asbestos awareness training courses.
At R. Lewis & Co (UK) Ltd we take Health & Safety in the workplace very seriously and hold both CHAS and Constructionline certifications. We are continually reviewing and improving our health and safety knowledge to eliminate (or greatly reduce) the risk of death or serious injury.
