With over 25 years’ building industry experience with a focus on carpentry and joinery, Darren has the expertise and passion to deliver high quality workmanship to clients throughout the UK.
Specialising in the installation and maintenance of timber and steel fire doors, he leads and works alongside a dedicated team of managers and carpenters, all fully trained under the Building and Research Establishment (BRE), successfully delivering fire door projects between £1000 up to £3,000.000.
ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Principally responsible for managing the fire door arm of the company, delivering fire door installation and maintenance. Leading a highly skilled team of Contract Managers, Supervisors and approved fire door installers to deliver fire door solutions to highest specification and quality.
- Extensive experience working across a range of market sectors including education, health, social housing, commercial buildings and retail, via contract management and framework procurement with both main contractors and directly with clients.
- Responsible for the completion of our annual fire safety and audit accreditation with BRE / ISO9001 ensuring all our installation and maintenance works are certified in accordance with industry approved standards.
- As a qualified Quantity Surveyor, Darren also assists with the preparation of tenders and cost analysis, ensuring competitive rates are achieved for our clients, the completion of project valuations and submission of application for payment and invoices.

- NHS Property Services Compartmentation survey and fire door inspection 450 door sets, working closely with client achieving substantial cost savings through remediation works as opposed to replacing many door sets as suggested by other companies (£0.8m)
- Aspen Healthcare Compartmentation survey, fire door inspection and subsequent remediation in hospitals across London to Sheffield, working flexible twilight shifts to minimise disruption to client staff (£.5m).
