The development of a three storey office for the Caerphilly Local Health Board in Newbridge, South Wales required fire protection across a range of materials including; brick & block walling, curtain walling, timber weather boarding, patent glazing, plaster boarded rooms and suspended ceilings.
Solution
Working on behalf of Opco Construction, R Lewis and Co (UK) Ltd installed fire stopping for fire compartmentation and thin film intumescent coatings to protect the steel structure for a 60 minute rating.
