Cementitious fire spray is a fast and cost efficient method of providing up to 240 minute’s fire protection to structural steelwork. Used in the commercial and industrial markets this non decorative mortar material is able to withstand impact and abrasion.
From concrete decks under building spaces, car park soffits and internal surfaces to include roof voids, specified thicknesses can be applied at speed to achieve the necessary protection.
For steelwork with a 2 hour rated application requirement, work can be completed quickly in a single spray coat compared with what could typically be the equivalent of several coats of thin film intumescent or construction of a conventional board and fix encasement system.
