These penetrating services, any resulting gaps around the services and incomplete compartment voids within a building can cause fire and smoke integrity or insulation failure if not fire stopped adequately.
A range of fire stopping systems have been fully tested and are available to provide up to 4 hours integrity. For traffic areas load bearing constructions can be installed to provide specific fire and load performance capacity.
